Black Moth Super Rainbow - Eating Us

Artist: Black Moth Super Rainbow
Album: Eating Us
Genre: Psychedelic
Year: 2009
Origin: USA

This is the newest release from Black Moth Super Rainbow, a modern psychedelic rock band. The music is laden with enough obviously-synthetic fuzziness to earn the electro tag from me, but to quote the last.fm page, "all are lovingly played by real people with real hands." The melodies can take on a strange melancholy, but it's the sadness of losing one's way in a confused and stoned haze rather than a feeling of anything really depressing. It's really chill, somehow indie-based music, and I recommend it to any post-rock fans.

That would include me; let's see what I can make of this.

Bit busy? You don't post so much anymore and when the sky is grey and the evening spent alone I often find myself saddened by your less-than-optimal activity. I think your priorities are somewhat mixed up. Everyone knows your blog is more important than your job or your study or your significant other or your family or.

Track 2 is corrupted and won't unrar. Overall I think the album is very much UNlike any post-rock I heard, and overall plain annoying. The voice, the super ultra fake sound, the guitars that don't sound like guitars, the lack of depth and clarity and mind-expanding awe&wonder.

I wish Jerry Garcia and Pigpen would haul themselves out of the earth again to reform the Dead as an Alcest coverband. That would be super awesome.

Yeah, I'd definitely listen to that!

Fixing the upload right now...

I think your review was very poor. 'Super ultra fake sound'.
Please keep such wild criticisms to yourself so as not to chance anyone being put off and missing this gem.

1/10 for you.

Well excuse me for putting my honest opinions out there. Who the hell am I to think I have the right to criticise a band, right?

No, it was a sick burn. I felt it.
